Abbie Couchman, Clinical Psychologist

Abbie takes a relaxed and collaborative approach to therapy and aims to create a space that feels warm, supportive, and genuine. She works with adults and young people (12 and up) who feel anxious, stuck, or disconnected from themselves and want to understand what's going on beneath the surface.

Some people come to therapy with a specific issue they want help with; others are looking to understand longer-standing patterns in themselves or their relationships. Abbie works both short-term and longer-term, and tailors therapy to what feels most helpful. Her focus is on creating a safe and honest space where change can unfold at a pace that feels right.

Abbie values feedback and sees therapy as a shared process, often using therapeutic relationship itself as a way of understanding patterns and trying out new ways of relating.
